Film by Sofya Leonidova and IMPRN Ensemble
GAZE!
The performance by Vladimir Luchansky, Feliks Mirensky and Peter Ototsky explores the possibilities of communication in a limited information environment.

Improvisation takes place with one condition — to stay with the eyes closed and focus only on the sound and feeling of each other.

Gaze! — a film about music, sound, physicality and willingness to interact.
IMPRN trio gathered in the space of the Moscow gallery on Solyanka street to give a private concert exclusively for video cameras and recording microphones.

According to a predetermined rule, none of the musicians should open their eyes during improvisation. Participants are guided only by the sound, the feeling of each other and the emerging musical space.

The performance of the musicians was carefully recorded in the format of the film. Which, of course, is not only about music and sound, but also about the physics of the body, tactility, willingness to cooperate.

The spectator will have the opportunity to be present at the birth of music, peer into facial expressions and body language within this intimate process.
